São Paulo
Passionately honored by Caetano Veloso in the song "Sampa", São Paulo is a cosmopolitan city of many contrasts, many accents, national and foreign, many peripheries, many songs, many cuisines and cultures of migrants and immigrants throughout its five centuries of existence.
São Paulo represents, in a certain sense, the Brazilian diversity, the diversity of a Portuguese-speaking nation surrounded by Spanish-speaking sister Countries.
The most populated city in the American Continent offers many historical and cultural places worth visiting. Here is a non-exhaustive list:
- Sé Cathedral
- Luz Station
- São Paulo Art Museum (MASP)
- Museum of the Portuguese Language
- Ipirange Museum
- Ibirapuera Park
- Paulista Avenue
- Ilhabela
